After stumbling upon this article from The New York Times titled Putting a Dent in College Costs with Open-Source Textbooks, I wonder how money-strap WL teachers and/or programs can benefit from using OERs.
Most recently, the US Dept. of Education in joint efforts with the State Department and other agencies, have started a repository to help teachers find the best OERs out there without having to Google/Bing them. This repository is called Learning Registry.
